Before this course can be taken, candidates must hold their
Certificate of Competence in Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1).
Training Content
In order to install domestic gas meters, installers must comply with the OFGEM code of practice. Completion of this MET1 course will satisfy the requirements and allow the candidate to apply to OFGEM for registration as a gas meter installer for domestic dwellings.
As part of the training programme candidates will carry out both classroom based and workshop based activities.
