LPG Changeover (CoNGLP1)

Before this course can be taken, candidates must hold their
Certificate of Competence in Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1).

In order to deal with LPG appliances and installations engineers must demonstrate their competence in this area.

This course will allow candidates, upon successful completion, to work on LPG as well as natural gas. If any appliance qualifications have already been gained on natural gas (e.g. CEN1/HTR1) it is then permissible to work on these in LPG as well.

There are four "core" parts to the CoNGLP1 qualification;

PD;	Permanent Dwellings
RPH;	Residential Park Homes (Static Caravans)
LAV;	Leisure Accommodation Vehicles (Mobile Caravans )
B;	Boats

You only have to take the sections that cover what you need to work on, you do not have to take them all if, for example, you do not work on boats.

As part of the training programme candidates will carry out both classroom based and workshop based activities.

The assessments taken at the end of the standard course will allow candidates to work on permanent dwellings and also static caravans. If the leisure accommodation vehicles or boats units are required these are taken and trained as separate costs.
