Combustion Performance Analysis (CPA1)

If you are re-assessing your appliances, Gas Safe will no longer recognise your CEN1 (Now CENWAT) or HTR1 qualifications if you don't hold your CPA1.

Before this course can be taken, candidates must hold; CCN1 Core Gas Safety and the CEN1 (Or CENWAT) Appliances Unit.

Do you:

  • Measure CO /CO2 ratios as part of your servicing routine?
  • Change gas vales and other components?
  • Use a flue gas analyser?

This course is for plumbing & heating installers who need to measure CO/CO2 ratios in the course of their day to day work.

It is required by the Gas Safe Register as proof that engineers are competent to carry out CO/CO2 analysis on any appliances they are working on.

  • Safe and accurate use of analyser to take CO/CO2 ratios - inc probe selection
  • Adjustments needed to remedy combustion problems
