Before this course can be taken, candidates must hold their
Certificate of Competence in Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1).
Training Content
In order to deal with LPG appliances and installations engineers must demonstrate their competence in this area. This course will allow candidates, upon successful completion, to work on LPG as well as natural gas. If any appliance qualifications have already been gained (e.g. CEN1/HTR1) it is permissible to work on these in both LPG and natural gas.
As part of the training programme candidates will carry out both classroom based and workshop based activities. The assessments taken at the end of the course will allow candidates to work on permanent dwellings and also static caravans.
