    This unit covers all regulations and procedures relating to advising upon and installing practical solutions that will improve energy efficiency and performance within a clients’ home. This is a “must have” for anyone who is needing to install hot water and/or heating systems to ensure that work comlies with Part L of the building regulations.

    This course combines the CCN1 core and 4 of the appliance courses into one more cost effective solution. This shorter route is only available to those candidates who meet the entry criteria for category 2. Please remember that evidence of your on site training will be needed before you can start the course.

    As there is some training that is duplicated on the individual courses, training time and therefore cost can be reduced if they are all taken together. Also included with this course package are the CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis) and the Energy Efficiency courses.

    Training is designed to help candidates prepare for the National Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) assessments and also covers additional units usually needed such as the Energy Efficiency. As part of the training program, both classroom based and workshop based activities will be carried out.

    Cost & Duration;

    The combined course is taken over six days. This includes three days of gas training and then two days of assessments. The Energy Efficiency course then falls on the sixth day.

    The course is usually scheduled for the three days of training to fall on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of one week then the assessments Monday and Tuesday of the following week. This allows candidates the chance to revise over the weekend! The Energy Efficiency is then taken on the final Wednesday.
