17th Edition Electrical - Update

This course is aimed primarily at practising trades people who already hold the 2381 16th Edition or similar, and have a good working knowledge of the technical requirements of the 16th Edition regulations.

The course is designed to ensure that candidates are fully aware of the content and application of the new regulations, and covers all the areas that have changed since the last edition.

Candidates must hold 16th Edition 2381 or similar in order to attend the update training. Suitable qualifications are as follows:

  • C &G Level 3 Cert in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: June 2001 (2381)
  • C&G Level 3 Electro-technical Technology Installation (Building and Structures) (2330-07)
  • C&G Level 3 Electro- technical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08)
  • C&G Level 3 Electrical Installation Part Two (2360) (from January 1st 2004 onwards only)
  • C & G Level 3 Certificate in Knowledge of Electrical Installation Engineering (2351) (from 1 January 2004 onwards only, and only if achieved as part of an Electro-technical Advanced Apprenticeship completed post 1 January 2004.)

Candidates will need to purchase a copy of BS 7671:2008 17 th Edition Wiring Regulations prior to attending the course. The course fee does not include this book.

A short multiple-choice exam will be taken at the end of the course. Basic computer skills will be needed as the assessments are PC based.
